1982 Austin Mini 1000
Week 2: Lots Of Bad News
Vynal roof removed, POR15 treated and primed
Fixed front wiring and semi-sealed lights
The 10" ROH Contessa Mags (there damm light!)

I finally started the mini, it coughed afew times, blew lots of fumes (lots of engine start used) and it ran. So at 11.30pm I took it for a blat around the local hills, its missing bad but still good for the price of a go-kart! hahaha
I took it to my panel beater (Guys BodyShop) to get the boot floor replaced, but all they had was bad news..
Instead they poked holes at the fabric roof and pointed out the previous repair to the left rear corner. DRAT!. So home she came again, and I removed the old fabric roof to find the whole thing covered in surface rust..
mostly around the edges the rust has formed holes. So I prepared the middle section and returned to the panelbeater. He almost cryed and wouldnt do the work as it would be un-ethicial.
So home she came again, almost a write off.
